Brunswick Primary School

Enjoy, Exceed, Excel

Brunswick is currently working with Brighton & Hove City Council School Travel Team, parents, teachers, and governors to produce a School Travel Plan. A School Travel Plan looks at how pupils/families/staff travel to and from school, and sets out aims and activities in order to:

  • Reduce the number of car trips made to school by parents/carers and staff, and increase walking and cycling to school
  • Improve safety on the 'school run' and at the school gates
  • Improve the traffic and parking situations at the school gates for parents/carers, staff, and residents alike
  • Improve health and fitness of the entire school community

To help develop the School Travel Plan, schools ask pupils and their parents/carers, as well as staff, to complete a short travel survey. A survey has already been  distributed among the residents of the streets around the school to understand their opinion on the traffic and parking situations and the issues they face. These surveys give the school information on how the school community currently travel to and from school, any problem they may have on the journey, and the reasons why parents, carers and staff  travel a certain way.

This is your chance to put forward your opinions and experiences. The survey should take about 15 minutes to complete. If two or more people take your child/children to school, this survey should be completed by the person taking your child/children to school the most often.

You can find the survey at the following address:

The survey is anonymous and information is collected only for informing the preparation of the School Travel Plan. However, if you wish us to contact you directly in order to discuss a particular issue, please do leave your contact details at the end of this survey and a member of the School Travel team will be in touch.

Once completed, a copy of the School Travel Plan can be obtained from your school and will also be available on the school's website. If you have any question about school travel, please contact Mr Euan Hanington (Deputy Head Teacher) at

If you have any questions relating to the survey, or experience any technical difficulties while completing it, please contact the survey designer at:
